Horse Care:
Provide daily care and maintenance for horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercise routines.
Monitor and assess the health and condition of each horse, coordinating with veterinarians and farriers as needed.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Boarder Communication:
Promote Barn to prospective boarders through interest groups, social media, word of mouth or other marketing avenues
Conduct tours and informational meetings with boarders
Communicate effectively to boarders and foster a positive barn experience
Barn Operations:
Initially be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the barn, stalls, and common areas.
Manage feed and bedding inventory, ensuring adequate supplies at all times.
Develop and implement efficient feeding schedules and feeding plans.
Staff Supervision:
Recruit, train, and supervise barn staff as needed, ensuring they adhere to established protocols and safety measures.
Facility Maintenance:
Perform maintenance tasks and collaborate with maintenance personnel as necessary to ensure the barn and surrounding areas are well-maintained and safe.
Perform or coordinate minor repairs and maintenance tasks as necessary.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of horse health, feeding, medications, and any other pertinent information.
Keep financial records related to the barn’s budget and expenses.
Emergency Response:
Develop and implement emergency procedures for situations such as illness, injury, or natural disasters.
Ensure all staff are trained in emergency protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in horse barn management or a related role.
Knowledge of equine care, nutrition, and health.
Desire to foster a positive barn atmosphere and build a group of satisfied boarders.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of the horses.
Basic knowledge of equine first aid and medical care.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor as needed.
This position is a very limited hours, part time position initially. We are looking for an individual to grow the barn business and pay and hours will increase with that need.

Pay: $17.61 – $21.20 per hour
