Job Description
Jellybean Ranch is an inclusive, accepting small farm in Mebane, NC. JB Ranch is set in a peaceful, quiet, and absolutely lovely location. We have a variety of friendly, loving farm animals who live in a lovely new barn with 3 fenced pastures (~8 acres fenced).
If you enjoy taking care of animals, consider this part-time position to help with the caretaking of our farm animals, including 3 goats, 2 mini-donkeys, ~12 chickens, along with 2 dogs and 5 cats. We are looking for a dependable, caring person.
Frequency: 2 or 3 times per week for a total of 8 hours per week
Tasks: Clean barn area including stalls and coops, restock feed and supplies, refill water troughs, groom and care for animals as needed, help with odd jobs as needed
Time: Days and times are flexible, but schedule needs to be consistent — prefer early morning 3 days per week
Required: Must have experience working with farm animals; must be physically fit and able to lift 40 pounds; must be dependable and honest; background check is required; 2 work references and 1 personal reference must be provided
Salary: $16 – $18 per hour
