Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the execution of LandPro’s Connected Support initiative strategy (Machine Optimization, Logistics Optimization, and Technology Support)
  • Develops and executes the plan to ensure ongoing technology training across all departments at the dealership
  • Assists in leading the organization in the area of John Deere precision technology products
  • Ensures understanding of John Deere Connected Support solutions and precision technology products in sales, service, parts, and all other departments
  • Serves as the internal and external technical specialist for all precision technology products
  • Implements the adoption of new technology and product offerings
  • Develops and delivers employee and customer training for John Deere Connected Support and advanced precision technology products
  • Provides recommendations of stocking/inventory requirements for precision technology solutions enablement
  • Provides recommendations on ordering option codes on new equipment
  • Provides solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.)
  • Support the dealership efforts with third-party technology providers
  • Setup and execution of customer equipment demonstrations with sales and service team
  • Plays a key role in assisting the Precision Farming Department in meeting annual goals set by all team members
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by your manager

Requirements:

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
  • Work closely with sales team to quote equipment and technology needs
  • Attend weekly conference call and provide feedback
  • Visit each assigned store at least twice per month
  • Available by phone during peak times for technical support
  • Coordinate with other departments to execute equipment demonstrations
  • Assist Agronomy team with completing test plots and soil sampling
  • Develop and complete annual technology customer clinics and technician trainings

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to store locations and customers
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience preferred
