Position Purpose: Multiply the success of client breeding programs by producing embryos from their donor cows and pregnancies in their recipient cows. Ensure disease and trauma are minimized when embryos are harvested from donors and transferred into recipients. Monitor the reproductive fertility in resident cows while contributing to a positive working environment, delivering services which exceed customer expectation.
Key Responsibilities:
Transfer bovine embryos in the clinic and on farms.
Perform ultrasound-guided transvaginal ovum pickup procedures for bovine IVF embryo production.
Review synchronization protocols for donors and recipients.
Evaluate pregnancy status in recipients post-implant using ultrasonography to:
Execute, monitor, and continue to improve the biosecurity programs on the farms.
Maintain a professional image reflective of Trans Ovas industry position.
Follows Trans Ovas policies and procedures.
Perform and complete other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements:
Masters or Ph. D in Bovine Reproduction or related field
Qualifying experience may also be considered in lieu of advanced degrees
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to put in long days (up to 14 hours) during seasonal periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time.
Strong and reliable back, shoulder, arm, hand and ability to manipulate the bovine reproductive tract multiple times.
Excellent hand coordination and finger sensation.
