Job Description
Applies basic and some advanced technical skills and knowledge to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, raise and care for livestock, and performs miscellaneous maintenance duties.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Performs a variety of routine duties related to the area assigned. Applies standard solutions to problems or work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. Work operations are closely supervised and outlined in work instructions requiring some judgment.
Operates various Ranch equipment and machines to accomplish work – listed here but not limited to: company vehicle, ATV, lawn mower, saws, dozer, grader, backhoe and tractor.
Cares for and maintains Ranch appearance, structures, machinery and equipment according to guidelines and requirements. Performs regular, routine care and maintenance of grounds and structures – mowing, painting, fence and general upkeep of structures. Routinely checks machinery fluid levels, changes oil and filters, cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, belts and other parts.
Dismantles defective ranch equipment and machines and installs new or repaired parts. Assembles, installs, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators as well as electrical and electronic components of equipment and machinery.
Responsible to care for all Ranch animals – maintains regular schedule of feeding, training and cleanliness contributing to the animals’ health and well-being. Transportation of animals, as necessary.
Responsible to participate in and lead trail rides for visitors to the Ranch.
Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education, Training and Work Experience:
Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level of Supervision Required:
The level of supervision required described here are representative of those that must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Works with regular supervision. Follows standard written or oral instructions. May need additional assistance for more complex tasks.
Special Skills, Licenses or Job Requirements:
- Possess a valid State of Oklahoma Driver License
- Demonstrate competency in applying the following in performing normal job duties
- Able to use basic hand tools properly and safely
- Solid horse riding skills
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal format
- Good interpersonal skills
Special Training and Behavioral Competencies
- Safety training as required by OSHA.
- Complete the required NORDAM University training for all Stakeholders.
- Comply with The NORDAM Group Leadership Competencies for Stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.

Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
