Job Description
The Island Hunting Company is actively seeking a Ranch Hand.
The primary responsibility will be centered on the care and welfare of all livestock, property maintenance, equipment maintenance, and assist in hunting operations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all feeders are filled and working properly
- Provide water and feed to livestock
- Inspect livestock for signs of illness and injury
- Assist with administering medications and vaccines to livestock
- Inspect and repair fencing
- Spraying of herbicides
- Mowing pastures and roads
- Maintenance on farm equipment
- Assist guest hunters
- Skin and quarter harvested game
- Plant and cultivate food plots for wildlife forage
- Operating farm equipment
- Maintaining property
- Must be able to do heavy lifting of feed bags and equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned by Manager
Education and/or Experience
- Previous ranch experience preferred but not required
- Experience with livestock and/or farming equipment is preferred but not required
- Must have an active driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
