Job Description

The Island Hunting Company is actively seeking a Ranch Hand.

The primary responsibility will be centered on the care and welfare of all livestock, property maintenance, equipment maintenance, and assist in hunting operations.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all feeders are filled and working properly

• Provide water and feed to livestock

• Inspect livestock for signs of illness and injury

• Assist with administering medications and vaccines to livestock

• Inspect and repair fencing

• Spraying of herbicides

• Mowing pastures and roads

• Maintenance on farm equipment

• Assist guest hunters

• Skin and quarter harvested game

• Plant and cultivate food plots for wildlife forage

• Operating farm equipment

• Maintaining property

• Must be able to do heavy lifting of feed bags and equipment

• Performing other duties as assigned by Manager

Education and/or Experience

• Previous ranch experience preferred but not required

• Experience with livestock and/or farming equipment is preferred but not required

• Must have an active driver’s license

• Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
