Ranch Hand in Boerne, TX

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and self-starting Ranch Hand for our property near Boerne, TX. Role requires willingness to work in Texas heat and cold, be flexible with hours which would include weekend work. The Ranch Hand will play a crucial role in maintaining the ranch’s productivity and ensuring the well-being of livestock.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Assist with care for cattle and horses, including feeding, watering, and basic veterinary care.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment (tractor and skid steer) safely and efficiently.
• Yard work including mowing, weed eating and watering.
• Ranch/pasture maintenance & improvement including brush clearing, roads, water infrastructure, deer feeders, blinds, and fencing.
• Handy work relating to construction and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure including basic plumbing and electrical work as required.
• Communication skills, self-discipline, self-starter with problem solving.
• Ability to work with and supervise occasional contract labor and organize projects.

Education

• Some college credit is a plus but not required.
