Job Description

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for learning, is handy with tools, familiar with equipment and has experience working with animals. Above all we are looking for someone who is virtuous and diligent.

Our aim is to steward land and animals well and we are needing another individual to assist in the daily operations of making this happen. Each morning will consist of caring for chickens, pigs, cattle and sheep. Each afternoon will consist of various projects and maintenance around the ranch to keep everything running smoothly.

We are needing an individual who is willing to work from 8am-5pm Wednesday-Saturday and 8am-12pm on Sunday, with an hour lunch each day.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Feed, water, and move livestock in accordance with livestock schedules

· Fill out records for livestock performance when performing daily tasks

· Keep fence lines clear of brush and debris and make necessary repairs

· Keep property well maintained by regular mowing, weed-eating and burning

· Assist Livestock Manager in additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Education level: Highschool diploma

Experience:

  • Has maintained a high level of responsibility for an extended period of time
  • Previous experience working with livestock

Specific skills:

  • Effective time management and organization
  • Able to work well independently
  • Able to safely operate a truck and trailer
  • Able to competently use basic power tools
  • Able to operate tractor or similar machinery

Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license

Physical abilities:

  • Able to lift 80lbs
  • Able to work for extended periods outdoors
  • Able to be active, standing and walking most of the day
  • Able to work in both freezing and very hot temperatures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
