Ranch Hand / Laborer in Strawn, TX

Our ranch is in need of a motivated and hard working person that can work well with our staff members, is adaptable, and willing to learn and grow with the rest of the team.

As a team member apart of a ranch that is continually looking to grow and improve, the person filling this position will be expected to assist in caretaking of various exotic species that we have both free ranging and in breeder facilities.

The ideal candidate for this position has farming knowledge (or is willing to learn), is a dedicated and hard worker, looking for a long term position, and prioritizes communication with appropriate personnel on our team.

Responsibilities:

• Take care of animals
• Understand farm equipment or be more than willing to learn how to safely operate heavy machinery and tractors
• Work outdoors in inclement weather
• Assist in feeding and cleaning after animals according to feeding instructions and ranch standards
• Maintain a clean environment
• Ability to follow ranch protocols
• Maintain client confidentiality as you would be working on a private ranch
• Help manage lawn care, brush and tree removal and/or maintenance
• General ranch, building, facility maintenance
• Knowledge and fixing fences and doing basic repairs
• Setting predator snares
• Ability to take direction and follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and enjoy hard work!

Our hours typically are a 9 hour work day with weekend rotations amongst the other team members. Holidays are paid and our holiday schedule is also on a rotation.
