Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.
As our Ranch Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Willow Ranch. ,The Ranch offers subsistence and outdoor opportunities for support recipients such as rifle range operation, hunting and trapping activities, cross country ski trails and snow machine trail maintenance, and activities related to hiking and recreational land usage. To thrive in this role you should have experience in farm operations and subsistence living.
Duties include but are not limited to:
purchasing and maintenance of tools, equipment and materials
purchasing/caring for livestock
planning and producing crops and gardens
supervision and training of staff working on the Ranch or providing supports to support recipients who will be developing skills on the Ranch.
High school diploma or GED required.
Two years direct care experience with individuals who experience a mental health or developmental disability required.
One year of supervisory experience required.
Experience working on a ranch with crops, livestock, and heavy equipment and/or hunting, trapping, snow machining etc. experience strongly preferred.
Two years of vocational agricultural apprenticeship or related field preferred.
