Summary
This role assists Ranch Manager/Foreman in the care and treatment of range cattle and/or cow-calf operations by performing various duties.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors cattle by riding feedlot pens and/or open range in order to identify sick, injured, or stressed animals.
Removes the sick or injured animals to be medically treated.

3+ years related experience and/or training

Ability to saddle and ride a horse. Must provide own tack. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands/fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
