Regional Seed Production Manager – Seedway, LLC – Emmaus, PA

We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the oversight of all seed conditioning facilities in order to maximize utilization.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Supervises, leads, and develops Operation-NY Seed Production/Operations Manager-Hall Location, and the Emmaus Location Packaging and Quality Control Manager, Operations Manager, and Office Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Implements strategic plan as it relates to the position.
Oversees and coordinates product line selection for proprietary cereal grains and soybeans with genetic vendors and appropriate management.
Manages product inspection, conditioning, certification (where applicable) and distribution of requested quantities of soybeans and small grains.
Manages customer service/function for assigned customers and delivery in order to provide superior customer service.
Plans and implements on-site and contract seed production of species and varieties/hybrids in quantities and of quality required to meet sales projections.
Supervises all facets of contract seed production and timely shipment to all locations for distribution.
Serves as point of contact for all genetic and trait suppliers.
Coordinate intra-company shipments as required to maximize efficiency.
Purchases certain species and varieties/hybrids as requested by sales management to meet demand
Maintains the Pennsylvania State Department of Agriculture Commercial applicator Cat 11, 13, 20 Structural & Rodent and Fumigation application permits.
Works closely with State Seed Certification, Bureau of Plant Industry as a certified seed processor.
Reviews regulatory requirements for production, testing and labeling in all operational states
Leads communication of vendor programs regarding pricing, programs, rebates, discounts, etc.
Collaborates with Sales Managers as needed to provide support on Seedway Brand products.
Works with Chief Communication Officer to develop appropriate sales material for soybean and cereal products.
Ensures maintenance of Emmaus location property, buildings and vehicles.
Leads operations of Emmaus office, mill, and warehouse.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARKs Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Business/Management or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARKs policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
