Job Summary
Conduct research on soil and plants using specialized laboratory equipment, field sampling methods, and data analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting soil and plant assays both in the field at our research farms and in the laboratory
Assisting with data analysis and manuscript preparation
Supervising undergraduate research assistants

Minimum Qualifications
MS in ecology, biogeochemistry, or agronomy. Alternate degree and degree fields and experience will be considered/accepted depending upon the depth and nature of the experience and relevance of degree as it pertains to this position.
A minimum of 2 years of field and laboratory research
Must have valid drivers license to drive to field sites
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate should be experienced measuring trace gas fluxes from soils, physical and biological properties of soils, soil water sampling, and sampling plant growth and development. Additionally, knowledge of data manipulation, statistical analysis and graphical display will be important. Exposure to mass spectrometer operation and data interpretation is preferred.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% Full Time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after closing date. Salary minimum is $50,000, but range is commensurate with experience.
