Job Description

The Sales Agronomist would be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with area farmers in addition to actively selling products and services. This opening is from expanding territory and business, opportunity with existing clients as well as the pursuit of new business. Great communication skills is vital as well as a strong agronomic understanding of crops, fertilizer and seed. Willing to train the right hard working, teachable, go getter.

Pay will be right and based on experience, includes a strong salary with bonus potential. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required OR relevant industry experience. Work with a family run business that cares about YOU as an employee AND a person!

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance relationships with customers and potential customers.

Develop and maintain a thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of Good Life Seeds products and services.

Provide inside personnel complete and detailed order information to ensure timely, accurate deliveries of supplies.

Visit potential customers to explain the benefits of soil health agricultural inputs.

Communicate via phone, and in person, with customers and inside personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

Manage existing accounts & recruit new in order to increase sales.

Competencies/Qualifications/Experience:

High School diploma or GED required.

Candidates should have three or more years of ag experience, including previous experience in agronomy, crop production or seed sales. Ag background a MUST.

Ability to communicate well with customers, farmers, and internal company personnel is a must.

Adequate computer skills preferred. (Word, Outlook)

Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Should have demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques, as well as excellent negotiating skills and the ability to overcome obstacles.

Should demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with minimum supervision to meet established goals.

Preference will be given to candidates that have proven ability to build/maintain strong relationships with growers by understanding their needs and values, and achieve desired results.

Good time management and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:
