One of our member-owner is looking for a Sales Agronomist for their facility in IA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Call on and promote the sales of all cooperative products and programs with the primary emphasis on crop nutrient and protection products, seed and agronomy programs and services to existing and future cooperative customers and owners.
Provide excellent customer service to cooperatives customers and assist them with yearly crop planning and production.
Coordinate and support custom application services with customers.
Leverage and promote grower meetings, events and promotional activities.
Assist Agronomy Dept. Manager with monitoring inventories and customer invoicing.
Attend sales meetings and planning and development activities.
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
Other duties as assigned
Associate or Bachelors degree in agriculture, agronomy, crop science or related field or two or more years of related experience working with farmers and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous agriculture background and sales experience a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid drivers license
Willingness to learn and be a member of a team.
