We are now hiring dedicated CDL-A truck drivers with at least 6 Months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience within the last three years to operate within 500 miles of Almena.
Shift Details:
– Can expect to be home 2-3 nights be week.
– Drivers operate on a rolling 5 week schedule.
– Weekend driving required
– Will discuss shift on welcome call with account
– Required to work Holidays as needed
– Drivers cannot onboard until August 21st
– 5am Start Time
$1840 weekly average (gross).
Job Description
*6 months pig hauling experience preferred*
Drivers will be required to pass an online learning module course in regards to hauling pigs once they are hired, will be discussed on the welcome call.
Position Overview:
Drivers will report to the office/washout facility and pick up clean/sterilized equipment.
First task is spreading wood chips in their trailer and going to 1 of 3 sow farms in the area either to pick up piglets from the growers in IA and MN or cull going to local meat packaging plants.Piglets are 95% and culs are 5%.
After loading, they will drive to the farm and unload.There are no DOT 10 hour breaks taken between a sow farm and grower with pigs on the trailer.
All farms are within legal drive distance.
After unloading they will take their 10 hour DOT break if needed, and then head back to the washout facility to clean the woodchips out of the trailer.
Must live within 75 miles of Almena.
Other Requirements:
No more than three tickets or accidents in the last three years, no DUI/DWI in the last five years and no criminal charges within the last ten years.
No more than 6 jobs in 3 years.
Must be at least 21 years.
