POSITION: Short-Notice Greenhouse Laborer
SALARY: $15.74, per hour
REPORTS TO: Greenhouse Supervisor
LOCATION: Greenhouse; Nespelem, Washington
Basic Functions: Extracts seed, sows seeds, packs the seedlings and sterilizing seedling trays. Coordinates the moving of trays for packing. Measures block weights to determine irrigation, fertilizing, thinning, weeding the plants/seedlings. General repair/maintenance of the greenhouse site and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
Requires a High School Diploma
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires knowledge of computers and have basic computer skills.
Requires the ability to extract seeds from the cones or plants, dry and weigh the seeds.
Requires the ability to keep records of the seed by customer, species, location and date.
Requires the ability to fill the trays with soil with the flat filler, plant seed to the proper depth in the soil and top off with grit.
Requires the ability to relocate plants to the correct lot location in the greenhouses or holding areas.
Requires the ability to setup gravity conveyor line, move the seedling for packing, extract the seedlings from the containers, and grade the seedlings, count and store in boxes.
Requires the ability to operate forklift, pickup, utility vehicle, lawn mower, thermometer, weigh scale, caliper, ruler, gravity and power conveyor.
Requires the ability to observe and practice all job related safety practices.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State drivers license and be eligible for the Tribes Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
