Sr. Farm Show Events Manager
Who we are looking for:
AGCO’s Massey Ferguson Division has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Farm Show Events Manager to join its dealer team in delivering extraordinary results throughout our dealer network!
This remote position will support and visit our office and warehouse in Duluth, GA. The Farm Show Events Manager will play a key role in developing, planning, and running AGCO’s farm shows and dealers/customer events, which requires managing vendors and providing a variety of services including project management, planning, advertising, equipment logistics, and landscaping. Additionally the Farm Show Manager will work onsite with vendors during the farm shows and events to set up displays/exhibits and ensure that AGCO’s products are properly showcased and our event attendees have a flawless experience.
What you will do:

Project management from ideation and creation to production of 5 national Farm Show events and support in planning logistics and execution of other branded events like field days, ride & drive events, rodeo customer hospitality programs, dealer and supplier meetings and more
Works with other internal teams and departments like Communications Managers/Brand Managers to strategize how to maximize market presence at shows and events, and to drive and keep traffic in our lots. Helps to provide ROI for our presence at these shows. Communicates effectively and professionally with Events Team, Dealer Central, Product Managers, show vendors and marketing communications/branding staff.
Determine what equipment will be displayed at each show with product managers. Cross reference which equipment is listed with which implements and ensure the right equipment fit based on size, scope, etc. Then work with exhibits and AV partners to create lot layouts, for approval by Senior Manager, Meetings & Events.
Work with AGCO’s logistics team to coordinate and manage the logistics for the movement and placement of equipment and displays for all tradeshows and events. Locate equipment with Dealer Central and quotes with shipping vendors. Improve processes to lower budgets and reduce show transportation costs.
Vendor management (tradeshow company, electrical, power, internet, landscaping, tenting, etc.) and management of the AGCO warehouse for tradeshow display inventory and logistics of moving to and from shows/events. Hire contract labor to assist in movement, management, clean up/out, packing/loading, shipping. Maintenance (with contractor support) of the exhibits inventory and GLC warehouse, including forklifts, mules, golf carts, storage trailers, yarder truck and tools.
Hire and manage contact labor to set up equipment and displays on show/event site, arrange cleaning and additional support team needed. Hire and manage any onsite show or event staff needed. Maintain a positive work atmosphere and set expectations to challenge AGCO partners (product specialists, brand managers, tactical teams) on their required needs at an event or show.
Create and manage the budget for all national Farm Show events, with review and approval by the Senior Manager, Meetings & Events. Improve processes to lower budgets and show set up and teardown efficiency. Provide post-show reconciliation in regards to what worked, what could have been done better and provides feedback to the events team, the department and the necessary partners (vendors, brands, product specialists, etc.). Reconcile vendor spend and budget.

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s Degree
6+ years setting up exhibits and shows in the automotive or heavy/off-high equipment industry or 2+ years working in the agricultural industry with an extensive knowledge of agricultural equipment
5+ years in a sales, marketing or technical support role
2+ years managing vendors, contractors, or teammates
Ability to travel up to 50%+ of the time for two+ weeks at a time (domestic and international)

A plus if you have:

1+ years of experience with vendor management
1+ years with logistics
1+ years of project management experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Works well with other teams internally and vendor partners
Creative, problem solver
