Stable Manager for a private family farm focused on hosting clinics/educational events and supporting a competitive JR/YR. Candidate should be a self-starter and have significant experience in the equestrian industry managing show horses.
Key duties include: -Horse care and management: nutrition and feeding, mucking, turnout, blanketing, grooming, coordination of routine vet and farrier care, maintenance of health records -Barn and property management: routine cleaning and basic maintenance of stables, arenas, paddocks, composting system, and trailers; ordering supplies -Clinic coordination and management: coordination of the farm’s clinic events, including booking clinicians, managing clinic entries and stabling, and providing on-site supervision during events. -Showing: support preparation and packing, trailering and transport as needed, and show grooming as needed
Requirements
Highly motivated self-starter with attention to detail Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written Outstanding organizational skills, with competencies in Google Drive/Sheets/Docs 6 day work week, including weekends and some holidays
