Job Description
Mancan in partnership with a facility in New Cumberland, WV, seeking reliable and vigilant Security Guards to join our team. As a Security Guard, your primary responsibility will be to guard the stable gates and ensure the safety and security of the premises. This position involves monitoring the entrance, checking paperwork, and conducting health screenings for the horses and other related activities. Candidates with a clean background and no felonies are encouraged to apply. The position offers an hourly wage of $11.00.
Responsibilities:
Guard the stable gates and maintain a vigilant presence to deter unauthorized access and ensure security.
Monitor the entrance to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel and vehicles are allowed entry.
Check paperwork and documentation related to horses, such as health records, identification, and ownership.
Conduct health screenings for horses entering or leaving the premises, following established protocols.
Collaborate with stable personnel and management to maintain effective communication and ensure a smooth operation.
Respond promptly and professionally to any security concerns or incidents that may arise.
Report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or potential security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security duties and incidents.
Operate security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and access control systems, when required.
Ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations, as well as safety and security protocols.
Provide assistance and support to visitors, customers, and staff in a courteous and helpful manner.
Requirements:
Clean background with no felonies is a strict requirement for this position.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Must possess strong observational skills and attention to detail to detect potential security risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with visitors and staff professionally.
Ability to work independently and responsibly, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform regular security patrols for extended periods.
Familiarity with security equipment and basic computer skills is an advantage.
