Job Summary
As a crewmember on the CSA project, you will assist in allaspects of the daily farm operation, as directed by the CSAManager. The job requires an excellent work ethic, ability towork well with a team, and strong communication skills. Specifictasks may include:
Field preparation, seeding and transplanting, cultivation,maintenance, harvest, and post-harvest handling that may requireheavy lifting up to 50lbs
Rotate with other staff members in delivery of the share tocampus or in staffing the farm pick-up on Thursday afternoons
Participate, as needed, in farm activities not directlyrelated to the CSA (research projects, facilities management,tours, etc.)
All staff will be expected to behave in a professional manner,respect other peoples opinions, cooperate with other staff,students, and visitors on the farm.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Horticulture knowledge and/or agricultural education preferred.
