Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local employer in Versailles, KY and is not affiliated with UK.

This job is for help with a 90 acre hay farm in Versailles, KY (about 25 minutes from campus).

We recently acquired the farm and have a large number of projects we are actively working on. We need someone dependable to show up when they say they will and work hard while here. Hours are flexible but we request some amount of weekly consistency. Prior farm experience is a plus. This job will be a combination of working alone and with others.

Here are some of the things we need help with:

Fence line upkeep and removal.
Pond restoration and cleanup.
Farm water well and pump maintenance.
Barn maintenance and improvements.
Mowing and trimming.
Tree trimming and brush removal.
Trail creation and maintenance.
Farm house repairs.
Hay harvesting. (Mowing, Tedding, Raking, and Baling)

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Must be able to travel to Versailles, KY (about 25 minutes from campus).
Ability to lift heavy objects often in excess of 50 pounds.
Ability to work safely with heavy and/or dangerous equipment.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions. (Heat, cold, rain…)
