A veterinary-owned small cattle operation located in South College Station is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and self-motivated Farm Hand to assist with daily operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily feeding and care of cattle, birds, and horses
- Assist with moving, vaccinating, tagging, and other routine health care for livestock
- Maintain property grounds, including mowing and weed eating along fence lines
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, and general farm infrastructure
- Stack and transport feed and hay (must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.)
- Conduct routine maintenance on farm tools and equipment as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Must be dependable, hardworking, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous labor
- Previous experience handling cattle is preferred but not required
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
- Part-time or full-time hours available depending on the applicant and operational needs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
