Job Description

A&W Tractor has an opening for a 2nd full time mechanic position at our growing Allis-Chalmers dealer at our Cecil, WI location, just down the road from Shawano.

Looking for a mechanic who is interested in a career in the Ag repair industry. The ideal candidate is energetic, logical, comfortable working alone or with assistance, and knows their way around hand and power tools. Candidate will also have experience with farm tractors & equipment, especially 1930s-1980s A-C tractors/equipment.

*Skills required:*

-Diagnose & repair problems on 1930s – 1980s tractors with assistance from factory service manuals.

-Diagnose & solve problems on your own.

-Read, understand & follow procedures outlined in service manuals.

-Self motivated

-Ability to keep parts, tools and work area organized

-Adjust carburetors and distributor timing

-Knowledge of and ability to diagnose hydraulic systems

-Knowledge of and ability to diagnose DC electrical systems

-Knowledge of transmission and driveline systems

-Experience repairing Lawn & Garden equipment desirable but not required

Full time. Starting pay $25/hr for qualified candidate who meets job requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
