Position: Operations Manager

Reports To: Owner/President

Works directly in conjunction with Yard Foreman

Fairview, Oklahoma

Employee must be prepared for after hours calls, occasional after hours loading/unloading, or other emergent duties.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This position is responsible for the oversight and day to day management of a livestock market. This position will be a supervisory level position that will require self motivation and exceptional leadership skills. Must be willing to provide both _*management duties and hands on labor*_. The _*primary*_responsibilities of this position will be cattle care, organization, customer relations and retention. The _*secondary*_ responsibilities of this position will be maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of all facilities and machinery and equipment. Animal husbandry and care will be the top priority of this position. This is a full-time position. Compensation based on experience.

Essential duties:

· Supervising and participating in over all operations of the livestock market including cattle care, sorting, and sale day organization

· Customer relations and retention

· Unloading cattle, sorting, and penning cattle

· Operating machinery including skid loaders and tractors

· Rendering transportation services

· Providing animal care

· Assisting in facility improvements

· Supervising cattle loading/unloading

· Cleaning the cattle pens

· Cleaning water troughs

· Scheduling of sale day employees and feed crew

· Facilitating load out schedules

· Occasional farm work, building fences, feeding, doctoring calves, moving cattle etc.

· Other duties as needed

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
