## *Job Summary*
If you have full-time experience working on a cattle ranch, have experience with farm operations, and enjoy a rural lifestyle, we encourage you to apply for this Ranch Hand position.

We are looking for a win-win employer/employee relationship. Therefore, we require final round applicants to visit the ranch and surrounding communities to ensure a good fit. We are located in Southeast Washington State and we are not able to compensate applicants for their travel expenses to visit the ranch so we encourage applicants from nearby states only.

### *Application Instructions*

-Include 3 job references from people who have supervised your work. We will NOT contact anyone unless and until we all agree that is appropriate. But we require that you submit 3 references with your application.

## *Job Responsibilities*
1. Feeding and doctoring cattle in pastures and in feedlot

2. Calving, Branding (on a calf table), tagging, processing, and weaning calves

3. Sorting, gathering, moving cattle on horseback or by ATV; we haul some cattle in trucks

4. All aspects of hay production: Cutting, raking, stacking and hauling hay; placement, movement and maintenance of handline, wheel lines, and pivot irrigation

5. Assist with repairing and maintaining cattle-working equipment as well as maintain existing fencing and water/wells as well as working on new projects in development

6. Assist with performing routine maintenance and making minor repairs to farm equipment

7. Clean, maintain and make timely repairs to ranch-provided house, yard, and vehicle

## *Required Experience*

Two years of full time work on a farm or cattle operation are REQUIRED to be considered for this position.
### *Required Skills:*
– Must be experienced and comfortable working around cattle
– Equipment operation for example: backhoe, loader, swather, or other similar equipment

-Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair

-Must have a clean driving record

### *Nice-to-Have Skills:*
– Welding & Fabricating
– Fencing

-Semi truck driving
