Assistant Farm Manager – *Sauk Centre, MN*

The Floater/Assistant Farm Manager is responsible for assisting farm managers with raising birds from 1 day of age to market.

*Daily Duties*

· Performing a morning check, removing any mortality that has occurred within the last day. Missing mortalities is not acceptable.

· Read feed bins.

· Wash waters and flush water lines

· Spread shavings as needed in barns to maintain proper conditions

· Perform night & noon checks as needed to assist farm managers

· Observe, report and react to changes in bird health and activity

· Control barn ventilation and conditions

· Manage an entire farm for shorter periods of time, including regular nights, weekend, and holiday rotations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

· Vaccinate birds on schedule

· Provide birds with proper medications and supplements through the water system

· Keep accurate mortality and medication records

· Repair and maintain a variety of equipment

· Operate a variety of farm equipment

· Clean, wash, and disinfect barns after each flock

· Set up both brood and finish barns for birds

· Maintain farm grounds (mow, trim, snow removal)

· Maintain and repair building on site

· Assist in dumping poults and moving birds

· Assist or manage loadouts

*Duties and responsibilities are not limited to this list. He or she will be asked to assist in many other tasks as well.*

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
