Cayuga Sunrise Farm is a diverse, growing 700-acre organic farm located in Trumansburg, New York. We raise beef cattle and pigs on-site while producing organic corn, soybeans, grasses, and cover crops. Through our sister company, Cayuga Ag, we also operate a warehouse and distribute seed and fertilizer to farmers throughout the region. Beyond traditional farming, we run a self-serve farm store year-round and welcome visitors each fall to our popular pumpkin patch.

*Seeking:Agricultural Production Associate/ Farm Hand (Equipment Operation & Livestock Care) *
*Location:* Trumansburg, New York
We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our agricultural operation. This position involves a wide variety of hands-on work across multiple areas of farming and agricultural production. Ideal candidates enjoy physical work, learning new skills, and being part of a team-oriented farm environment.
*This is a full-time, year-round position. Work hours vary seasonally based on weather and production demands. *
*Job Description*
This position requires working in diverse aspects of farm and agricultural operations, including but not limited to:
* Hands-on physical farm labor
* Operation of large farm equipment
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment
* Animal handling and daily animal care
Work hours are *flexible and seasonal*, depending on weather and production demands. Expect a *minimum of 35–40 hours per week*, with the potential for *65+ hours during peak seasons*.
*Required Qualifications*
* Some experience or familiarity working in any of the following trades: agriculture, farming, livestock production, landscaping, construction, mechanical trades, or other physically demanding outdoor work.
* Large equipment operation experience
* Ability to lift *50+ lbs* regularly
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and long days during peak seasons
* Ambitious, self-motivated, and dependable
* Works well with others in a team environment
* Maintains a respectful and professional attitude toward coworkers and the public
* Ability and willingness to obtain a *CDL Class B within 6 months* (probationary period)
*Preferred (“Plus”) Qualifications*
* CDL (Class B or higher)
* Previous on-farm work experience
* Large animal handling experience
* Comfortable and fluent with modern technology (smartphones, tablets, basic farm software, etc.)
* Crop production/agronomy knowledge and experience
* Understanding of organic production

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour
