Join our dynamic team as a Barn Hand and become a vital part of maintaining a thriving farm environment! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting daily farm operations, cleaning, caring for animals, and ensuring the smooth operation of our rescue and miniature donkey breeding facilities. Your hands-on involvement will help promote healthy livestock and a well-organized barn setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills in agriculture, animal husbandry, and equipment maintenance while working in a lively, team-oriented atmosphere.

* Assist with daily animal husbandry duties, including cleaning, feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring animal health.
* Support the safe handling and movement of livestock using proper animal handling techniques.
* With prior experience, operate heavy machinery and farm equipment such as tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and power tools to maintain fields, barns, and surrounding areas.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of barns, stables, and storage areas to promote safety and efficiency.
* Support planting, growing, and horticultural activities as needed.
* Assist with general farm chores such as fencing repairs, irrigation setup, heavy lifting tasks, and tool use to ensure optimal farm operations.

* Prior supervising experience or leadership roles on farms or ranches is highly desirable.
* Hands-on experience with animal husbandry, animal care practices, and livestock handling techniques.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and tractors safely; certification is a plus.
* Comfort with using hand tools, power tools, and performing maintenance tasks requiring basic math skills.
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their expertise in agriculture while contributing to a vibrant farm community!

Pay: $21.06 – $25.36 per hour
