*Duties*
* Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting blueberries to ensure optimal crop quality and yield
* Operate farm machinery such as tractors, irrigation systems, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
* Perform equipment maintenance, repairs, welding, and troubleshooting to keep machinery in top condition
* Manage irrigation systems to maintain proper soil moisture levels for healthy plant growth
* Handle heavy lifting tasks related to planting supplies, harvest bins, and farm materials
* Support animal husbandry activities if applicable, including animal care and handling of farm animals or livestock
* Use hand tools and power tools for various farm tasks, including pruning, fencing repairs, and equipment adjustments
* Supervise or assist with other farm workers to coordinate daily operations and ensure safety protocols are followed
*Experience*
* Prior supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings is preferred but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
* Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance is highly desirable
* Hands-on experience with farming practices such as growing blueberries or other horticultural crops is advantageous
* Familiarity with animal husbandry and animal handling techniques is a plus if the farm includes livestock or farm animals
* Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively
* Knowledge of irrigation systems, greenhouse management, and general farming operations enhances your suitability for this role
* Basic math skills for measuring inputs, calculating harvest weights, or managing inventory are important for daily tasks
* Experience with equipment repair or welding can contribute significantly to maintaining operational efficiency
