Cow Milker in Richfield, OH

We are at established farm and homestead in Richfield, Ohio. We milk three jersey cows depending on the season, and provide a herd share for our community. We are looking for help milking cows and also in our dairy, straining, washing, chilling milk, etc. This would be between two to three hours each morning and/or each evening. Flexible on days, but need someone very reliable and committed. Milking times are between 7-10 am and 6-8 pm (there is some flexibility).

Duties

• Perform milking procedures using appropriate equipment while ensuring the comfort and safety of the animals.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in milking areas and equipment.
• Monitor the health of cows and report any abnormalities or concerns to management.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery, including power tools and hand tools, for various tasks related to milking and animal care.
• Collaborate with other farm staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Having helpful, friendly interactions with herd share members and farm visitors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
