Job Description
*Position Overview:*
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious End Dump Truck Driver to join our team in the Charles Town, WV area. This role will primarily be responsible for operating End Dumps for our earth moving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating End Dump articulated truck in the excavation and earthmoving aspects of site development.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Operate Heavy Equipment:* Efficiently and safely operate articulated End Dump trucks or similarly sized equipment for earth moving tasks.
* *Material Handling: *Receive, move, and dump/place materials such as soil, gravel, and rocks from loading zones to stock piles or fill areas.
* *Safety Compliance: *Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Perform daily inspections of equipment and perform minor maintenance as needed.
* *Site Coordination: *Work with other operators, laborers, and supervisors to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations.
* *Routine Maintenance: *Conduct routine equipment checks, report any mechanical issues, and assist with minor repairs or maintenance on machines.
* *Environmental Considerations: *Ensure environmental regulations and best practices are followed, especially when working near water sources or sensitive areas.
*Qualifications:*
* *Experience:* Minimum of 1 year of experience in operating an articulated End Dump, a Cat 730 or larger/similar model.
* *Knowledge:* Basic understanding of civil construction practices, earth moving practices, and safety regulations.
* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to work in outdoor environments, including inclement weather conditions. Must be able to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
* *Skills:* Excellent hand-eye coordination, good mechanical aptitude, and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
* *Communication:* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
* *Driver’s License:* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
