Job Description
Operate tractors, large and small, with implements to plow, plant, cultivate, harvest, and pull wagons/trailers.
Operate other equipment, such as forklifts, skid loader, backhoe, bulldozer, etc.
Pesticide mixing and application with sprayers, appropriate PPE, and training.
Operate standing equipment for fruit and vegetable processing and grading.
Field crop and fruit tree maintenance.
Adjusts, repairs, lubricates, and services farm machinery, and notifies supervisor or appropriate personnel when machinery malfunctions.
Basic building maintenance.
Operate irrigation systems with fertigation integrated.
Communicate with farm market team and others to streamline operations, set expectations, and create awareness of objectives.
Participate in safe work practices.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with farm machinery, planting and harvesting, and truck operations.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be available for September and October weekends.
Flexible scheduling is available.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 – $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Washington, MI 48095: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Farming: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
