Feeding and herding livestock, cleaning and general maintenance in and around barns & mangers. General farm labor.
Salary:
$15 – $18 an hour, based on experience
Cary Pioneer Farm in Alma, Michigan is looking to add a Farm Hand with good communication skills, a positive attitude and is self-motivated. This position is estimated at 32 + hours a week. The selected candidate’s job duties may include at a minimum and assist with the following:
● Farm Hand
- Feed Truck operator
- Feed cattle at feedlot and main farm
- Loader operator
- Skid steer operator
- Cleaning of grounds around barns & feed mangers
- Other job duties as assigned by Owner’s of CPF and/or Operation Managers
- Weekend chore schedule
- General farm labor operations
Hours of operation are 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Hours of operation during spring planting and fall harvest will exceed normal hours of operation, this may allow for additional hours worked. Chore schedule is currently every 3rd weekend.
● If willing to obtain an “F” endorsement and/or CDL license, pay will commensurate with experience. Must be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
● Must be willing to submit to a background check
