Position Overview
HF Farms is seeking a Farm Operator to assist with day-to-day farming operations. This position includes a wide variety of hands-on work such as operating farm equipment, hauling grain, and general farm duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, takes initiative, and is willing to learn while working independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
• Planting, spraying, sidedressing, tillage and harvesting corn and soybeans
• Hauling grain
• General mechanical work and maintenance on farm and heavy equipment
• Other farm-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating and maintaining farm or heavy equipment (1–2 years preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Private/Commercial Applicators License ( or willing to obtain within 90 days)
• CDL Class A (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• HF is willing to cover training and licensure costs for right candidate
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical outdoor labor in all weather conditions
Work Schedule
Must be available to work nights and/or weekends during peak seasons such as but not limited to planting and harvest.
