An industry leading agriculture company is seeking a Farm Operations Manager to join their team based in Arizona. The Farm Operation Manager will be responsible for the supervision and management, with hands-on involvement, of A thru Z farming activities that are related to the growing of various row crops. This position is responsible for management, planning, and control of the companys farming operation from land prep to harvest and the oversight of farm employees.
Essential Functions
· Assist in the preparation of planting schedules and budget inputs.
· Implement systems to manage equipment and labor efficiently.
· Work closely with the Packing Plant Manager and the Sales Department.
· Keep the Operations Manager informed of all farm activities and any foreseeable problems in the progression of the crops.
· Ensure food safety protocols are in compliance with the Food Safety Department.
· Follow and document planting for each crop.
· Generate accurate crop surveys on the crops as they progress and forecast harvest dates as the crop matures.
· Maintain proper records for spraying and fertilizing of the crops.
· Assist with soil moisture probe monitoring and use the collected data to form irrigation program.
· Assist with the implementation of a farm management app that allows the company to track all farm activities in real time (land prep, planting, irrigation, fertilization, pesticide application, and harvest).

Job Requirements
· B.S. Degree in Agronomy / Plant Science / Horticulture, or similar field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in vegetable farming with management expertise in the field of agriculture.
· Private Applicators Certificate (PUP) issued by the State of Arizona will be required.
· Bilingual English and Spanish- highly preferred.
· Mechanical knowledge of farm implements.
· Ability to manage equipment and labor.
· Must be able to stay current with the latest growing trends and the ability to adapt to technology.
· Ability to plan and work with packing plant and Sales Department to obtain company objectives.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
