*Overview*
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated all-around feedlot employee to join our livestock operation. The position involves a variety of daily duties, including cattle welfare, feeding, pen maintenance, equipment operation, and some minor farm work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, takes pride in cattle care, and can work independently and as part of a team.
*Duties*
* Assist with daily livestock management tasks, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health and behavior
* Operate heavy equipment such as tractors and other farm machinery safely and efficiently
* Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of feedlot equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation
* Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and animal movement while adhering to safety standards in production
* Support animal husbandry practices by assisting with vaccinations, health checks, and general care procedures
* Maintain accurate records of livestock movements, treatments, and equipment maintenance logs
* Follow safety protocols consistently to ensure a secure working environment for all team members
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in farm work, agriculture, or livestock management with a focus on animal husbandry and handling livestock safely
* Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred for team coordination roles
* Ability to operate agricultural tractors, power tools, hand tools, and other farm machinery confidently
* Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, welding, irrigation systems, and general maintenance techniques
* Familiarity with heavy lifting, manual handling procedures, and outdoor work environments in various weather conditions
* Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and experience implementing safety practices on farms or feedlots
* Strong organizational skills with basic math proficiency for record keeping and inventory management
