General Description
The Harvest Floor Technician is responsible for the slaughter process of pork as well as the splitting of hogs as experience is gained.
Job Duties
Work in the slaughter operation of pork.
Trimming and washing of carcasses.
Work around and with livestock.
Work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
Learn and follow regulations set by the USDA.
Learn to use and sharpen a knife in an efficient manner.
Be aware of and follow strict safety guidelines.
Willing to work overtime and on Saturdays if needed.
Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
Heavy lifting (Capable of at least 50-100 lbs)
Long periods of walking and standing
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $17 per hour.
Potential $1.50/hour wage increase after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, based on performance, attendance, and adherence to company standards.
Overtime opportunities available.
