*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services across a variety of heavy equipment, , trucks,and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with diverse tools and equipment, and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently. *Responsibilities*
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment, heavy duty trucks, and automotive vehicles.
* Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical expertise.
* Repair or replace components such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems.
* Conduct fabrication tasks including welding, soldering, and assembly of parts as needed.
* Operate and service various types of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trailer trucks.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
* Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
* Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and industry regulations.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* Assist in the installation of new equipment or machinery upgrades as required.
*Skills*
* Proven experience as a mechanic
* Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, transmissions, brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignment, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, diesel engines, tire service, welding, and fabrication techniques.
* Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, tractor-trailers, and industrial machinery.
* Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and maintenance tools.
* Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair (including air brakes), equipment repair/assembly/maintenance.
* Electrical experience is a plus for diagnosing electrical systems in vehicles or machinery.
* Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service orientation.
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding environments safely. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanical work who thrive on solving complex problems across diverse machinery types while maintaining high safety standards.
Pay: $24.00 – $41.00 per hour
