Part-time Ranch Hand

Job Description

Equine Voices is looking for an honest, reliable hard worker that loves animals.
Anticipated schedule is Friday-Sunday from 6:30 am -3 pm. Horse experience is preferred but not required. If you are the right person for the job, we will train you!
A ranch hand has the following responsibilities:

Feeding and watering of 65 equines
Daily dragging using an ATV, once per day
Mucking of corrals and stalls, twice per day
Ensure all special needs horses have been attended to: walked, hooves picked, eyes washed, special medical procedures completed, apply fly ointment in summer, blankets on/off in the winter
Daily turnout
Assist veterinarian, dentist and farrier with horses
Quarterly de-worming, monthly psyllium supplementation
Other ranch duties as assigned

This job has physical requirements. Applicants must be able to:

Must be able to lift and move hay bails with an average weight of 100 pounds
Must be able to bend, lift, squat, and walk distances across the ranch

Additional skills such as: physical strength, stamina, organization, teamwork, critical thinking, the ability to follow instructions, and coordination are necessary
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
