*Responsibilities*
* Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail trimming with precision and care.
* Handle animals safely and gently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff.
* Assess each pet’s coat, skin condition, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly.
* Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet care.
* Assist with dog training sessions or behavioral assessments as needed to support overall pet well-being.
* Support veterinary staff with animal handling, veterinary technician tasks, or other animal care duties when required.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant.
* Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions.
* Familiarity with veterinary environments, including veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills.
* Ability to lift heavy objects safely during equipment handling or kennel duties.
* Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and equines.
* Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.

Pay: $15.00 – $15.25 per hour
