This is a hands-on, physical role where you’ll work closely with live insects — ensuring their care, health, and environment are maintained to the highest standards.

The Bug Company is a leader in the pet industry, specializing in insect husbandry and shipping of live insects for reptile and exotic pet owners nationwide. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented team members who enjoy active, hands-on work in production.
Position Summary
What You’ll Be Doing:
Monitoring insect health & habitat conditions
Preparing food and feeding live insect colonies
Cleaning and maintaining rearing environments
Ensuring secure and stable housing for insects
Following safety and care protocols
Using tools like box cutters, tape guns, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
Comfortable working with live insects daily
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, kneel, squat, and bend
Reliable and able to work in a hot, humid, dusty environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Able to work independently and with a team
Basic math and tool-handling skills
Fluent in English with clear communication
Willingness to adapt and take on tasks as needed
Schedule:
Tuesday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM AND
Friday – Saturday 7:00 PM – 3:30 PM
(hours may vary based on shipping volume and company needs)
Pay Rate:
$19-$20 an hour
