Pavex Corp is looking for an experienced *RANCH HAND / FARMHAND* to assist in all phases of day-to-day operations on our 8,000-acre cattle ranch in southeast *Montana*.
This is a full-time seasonal position that runs from April to September and has the potential to transition to a year-round Ranch Manager position.
*Job Duties:*
* Farming 400 acres of irrigated hay fields
* Operation, Maintenance, and repair of haying equipment and pivots
* Building/repairing fences as needed
* Monitoring stock tanks and water lines, making repairs as needed
*Job Requirements:*
* Must have experience with all facets of hay production, including planting, cutting, raking, and baling
* Must have knowledge of and experience with pivot irrigation operation
* Must have experience operating various types of equipment, including tractors, swathers, rakes, and balers
* Must be able to work out in the elements in all types of weather and communicate effectively
* Must be eligible to work in the United States – we are not considering candidates who need to be sponsored
* Mechanical and/or welding & fabrication skills are a PLUS and preferred
A two-bedroom house, including utilities, will be provided along with weekly salary. Valid driver’s license and pre-employment background check required. Salary is dependent on experience.
