Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed for a full-time contract position in Harvest, AL, serving a PreK-8th grade school within the Huntsville City Schools system. This role offers a structured schedule starting ASAP or at the beginning of the January semester through May 22, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 58 students, with a focus on individual needs across PreK-8th grade.
Working collaboratively with another SLP to divide caseload and manage therapy delivery independently.
Conducting therapy sessions Monday through Thursday, dedicating Fridays primarily to student assessments.
Utilizing para support staff to assist with student movement to therapy rooms.
Managing case documentation and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ideally using PowerSchool or similar systems.
Qualifications and experience:
Certification as an SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Valid Alabama state license to practice speech-language pathology.
Previous experience in school-based and virtual therapy settings.
Knowledge of Alabama state laws related to school-based therapy services is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills for caseload management and assessment scheduling.
The position follows a consistent daily schedule starting at 7:45 am CST. The caseload is currently stable, with ongoing efforts to dismiss students as appropriate.
