Sustainable Agriculture Sales Consultant

Full Time

River Run Farm –  Sequim, WA

Job Description

Vegetable and CSA Farm Box Salesperson (Seattle)

What We are Looking For

Are you passionate about vegetables and sustainable agriculture? Do you love meeting and talking to new people? Are you focused, unapologetic, and ethical in your push to meet goals?

River Run Farm is looking for a few fine folks to help us sign up Seattle residents for our organic CSA program at farmer’s markets across the city. We produce, package, and deliver organic produce from our farm to people’s homes and we need help spreading the word. Our produce is delivered to our customers within 24 – 48 hours of it being harvested–resulting in maximum flavor and nutrient density.

The role’s primary goal consists of engaging with potential customers at farmer’s markets in Seattle and selling them a CSA farm box. The role’s secondary goal is to help increase sales of market vegetables via direct engagement. Essentially, say hi to everyone and help them get farm-fresh veggies.

*Must live in or near Seattle and have reliable transportation*

Our Markets:

  • Ballard;
  • West Seattle;
  • And more!

Compensation

$20/hr, plus uncapped commissions on CSA farmbox sales, and access to fresh, organic vegetables. A competent sales person at a regular traffic market can expect to earn between $30/hour, or more. A skilled sales person could earn $40/hour, or more on some days.

Shifts are generally between 4 to 8 hours, a few days a week.

Prior sales experience is great, but our staff has extensive experience in sales and training and can help with professional development as needed.
