Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work across various farm operations, including animal care, crop cultivation, equipment maintenance, and general farm management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with farming and animal husbandry. Duties

• Assist in planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and machinery
• Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and infrastructure, including welding and equipment repair tasks
• Manage animal husbandry duties, ensuring proper handling and welfare of animals such as horses or other livestock
• Supervise farm workers or seasonal staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain cleanliness of barns, greenhouses, and work areas using hand tools and power tools
• Assist with irrigation systems setup and maintenance to ensure optimal crop growth
• Handle heavy lifting for moving supplies or equipment safely
• Conduct basic math calculations for inventory management, feed rations, or planting schedules
• Support greenhouse operations if applicable, including planting seedlings or managing horticultural tasks

Experience

• Prior supervising experience in an agricultural setting is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery operation and maintenance is highly desirable
• Experience with animal husbandry and animal care practices is essential
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems
• Knowledge of farming techniques including crop growing processes, greenhouse management, horticulture, and greenhouses is advantageous
• Familiarity with welding or basic equipment repair enhances suitability for this role
• Equine experience or handling large animals is a plus
• Background in agriculture or farming with hands-on experience in plant cultivation or livestock management is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery confidently is required
