Join our dynamic construction team as a Side Dump Truck Driver and become a vital part of our heavy equipment operation crew! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting and dumping materials across construction sites, ensuring smooth project progress. Your expertise in operating heavy trucks and understanding construction site protocols will drive efficiency and safety on every job. *Responsibilities*
* Operate side dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites.
* Coordinate with site supervisors and equipment operators to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck, checking mechanical systems, brakes, lights, and safety features to guarantee optimal performance.
* Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, material loads, and mileage for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
* Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules, site conditions, and safety concerns.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in commercial driving, especially operating side dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine inspections and minor repairs on trucks.
* Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
* Ability to operate auxiliary heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders and water trucks.
* Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of various construction vehicles like bulldozers, graders, loaders, and excavators.
