*Description*
This position is at our Barnwell County, South Carolina location, and will be part of the Operations Department operating Heavy Equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, Front end loaders, Track mobiles, Telescoping Boom Forklifts, Skid Steers, etc.
*Job Duties:*
· Must consistently demonstrate good and clear communication on the two-way radio.
· Accountable for receiving trucks and spotting them in correct location per written procedure(s).
· Responsible for maintaining various hoppers and bunkers to avoid overfill and other associated failures resulting in a spill.
· Responsible for maintaining raw material inventories in our processes to ensure the bins do not run out.
· Responsible for blending raw materials as instructed.
· Able to safely transport materials without spillage.
· Daily inspection checks, cleaning, fueling, and lubrication of heavy equipment.
· Housekeeping and documented inspections of process equipment.
· Responsible for operating Wheel End Loaders, Rail Car Movement Equipment, Skid Steer, Forklift, Telescoping Fork Lift.
· Collect incoming samples and deliver them to the Process Lab.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
*Job Requirements: *
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
· Previous Experience with Heavy Equipment Operations
· Ability to climb ladders and stairs multiple times per shift.
· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently move up to 50 pounds.
· Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, respirators, protective clothing, and gloves.
· Competent with the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
· Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication skills (verbal and written).
· Must be willing to accept accountability and work well within a team.
· Must be able to work effectively under pressure and perform duties under stressful situations.
· Ability to understand and convey verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
· Basic math and mechanical skills.
· Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations preferred.
· Must maintain a clean and safe work area.
12 hour night shift, working at 2-2-3 schedule
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
