Are you interested in farming, machinery, mechanic work, dairy cows, robotic milking, feeding and cropping?
We have a year-round part/full time position open for daily livestock and general cropping work.
Main responsibilities can include:
* Farm equipment upkeep and maintenance
* Monitor robotic milking machines and other barn equipment as needed
* 3x weekly stall bedding and, grooming cleaning
* Twice weekly cleaning and bedding in the heifer runs
* Assist herdsman with special needs cows and moving animals
* Assist with cropping, planting and tillage. Mowing and raking hay, moving bales, running forage wagons during chopping
* As needed relief mixing of feed for the milking herd and youngstock
* Hauling manure with liquid and solid manure spreaders
* General farm stead and equipment maintenance (fences, buildings, improvement projects)
The position has been averaging about 25-45 hours per week depending on experience and ability. Daily timing can be flexible, but needs to be consistent and reliable. Equipment operation experience is a must. Pay is negotiable and depends on experience and performance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
