Location: Clinton, MI, Michigan
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Farm Hand to assist with daily operations on our farm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with livestock, is comfortable operating small machinery, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, efficient property.
Key Responsibilities
• Livestock Care: Provide daily feeding, watering, and monitoring for our sheep, chickens, and bees. Assure their housing is clean, secure, and safe from predators.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a small tractor for property maintenance, moving feed, or light grading.
• Facility Maintenance: Utilize small tools for minor fencing repairs, general maintenance, and general handy tasks around the farm.
• General Labor: Assist with seasonal chores, lifting feed bags (up to 50 lbs), and keeping work areas organized.
Qualifications
• Experience handling livestock (specifically sheep and/or poultry) is highly preferred.
• Confident and safe operating a small tractor and basic hand/power tools.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols closely.
• Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various Michigan weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs. (feed bags, etc.) and work outdoors.
• Must have reliable transportation.
